hey im having problems with my internet i have a lan or high speed internet connection that is 10mbps but that dont bother me the problem is my download speed it decreased from 100kbps to about 10kbps and i dont know why ive tried everything from scanning for viruses to trying tweaks and software and nothing works

thanks for the help my download speed increased by 5kbps but its still not what it was ive notice i cant even go on my web browser while downloading one file and if i try to download two files at the same time the speed decrease even more ive contacted my service provider last week but they say they see nothing wrong with my internet so the problem has to be with my computer

Run msconfig, go to the startup tab. There are probably a lot of things that you don't need loading into memory at boot time. Uncheck them, reboot, click ok. See if that helps.
