Hiyas. I am desperately looking for a (preferrably legit and freeware?) pure DOS ping program. I've found a few posts pointing to:

http://firststep.ahwww.com/dosware/netapps.zip

but that site seems to be down, so that's a no-go.

Searched already for a few hours, and had more hits on Denial Of Service attacks than actual "real" DOS ping tools :).

Anyone know of anything?

Would be appreciated :).

Thanks.

Hmmm - somehow got to the wrong forum. I apologize for any confusion that may be caused, but would still be glad for an answer :).

Watterloo TCP is quite old and you need to create a WATTCP.CFG file, but it does include a PING utility in the apps.zip download.

Last time i checked, DOS (i hope i am reading you right on Windows DOS) had its own ping tool. Why not just use it?

All you do with it is type ping [comp name or IP]. There are a variety of switches with it. Just type ping /?.
