DOS 6.22 Networking issue

January 10, 2012 at 14:05:56
Specs: DOS 6.22
I have an old DOS box running MS workgroup add-on 3.11. This has been running for years with no issues until I recently installed a new Win 2008 server which does not support Netbeui. I am trying to install TCP/IP but have had no luck finding the 16 bit version of tcp. I can succesfully add the 32 bit stack, but the nic doesn't like it.

Has anyone ever run into this problem before?

You're looking for msclient for DOS.

Google it and I'm sure you'll find plenty of info on it as well as download links.

That's what I have installed, but I cannot configure TCP/IP. It gives me an option to add it, but then asks for an OEM disk. I am assuming it is looking for the 16 bit tcp stack????

You don't "install" in dos. You run a net.bat that is called in the autoexec.bat file that loads the driver. The net.bat starts by loading the device driver and then each part of the protocol stack
