What i know about the main difference between domain and workgroup is that in Domain, the user accounts and network resources is more centralized, control by one domain server, besides that, is there any benefits to setup the domain instead of workgroup if the number of computer in the network is not large??

Management. This is the difference. Let's say you need to roll out a new software update. In a workgroup you would need to visit each machine or have the user run the update. With a server you could automate that. You can do a lot with a domain logon script from run inventories, do virus updates, and roll out packages. You have the ability to track user operations. there is a better management of security on a server. Centralized backup of everyone's important files. Just a few reasons.
