Hi there,
I run a windows 2000 server which is use for a domain network.
I have recenty run into a few problems, and been forced to do a clean install of the OS. While I was doing this is stupidly chnaged the name of the server. Now ofcoure file syncronisation cannot find the server and says i am working offline all the time.

I have tried leaving and joining the domai on the clients, with no sucsess

How can I make file syncronisation start using the new name, and therfore the server again??

Cheers

"been forced to do a clean install of the OS"

Opps! You now have a new network from scratch. That means you have to do everything from scratch. Properly setup dns, dhcp, join the wkst to AD, etc.

Not sure what you mean by file sync. Server to server or wkstation to server?

Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Did you join the workstation to a workgroup and then join the wkst to the new forest?
