thats what im trying to do but im having a lot of trouble i dont think it can be done you need to explane your postition more and what you are trying to do

but one idea may be to get a old computer and install a linux on it and make it a domain controller but i carnt really help with such little info

PS. if you find anythink on turning xp into a domain let me no becuse that would make my life so much more easy

You can't...XP Pro is a client operating system. To create a domain controller you need either 2000 or 2003 Server. There are different flavours of server....SBS, Standard, Advanced etc. Pick whichever one suits your needs/requirements the best.

To clarify, XP Pro can join a domain, but it cannot be a domain controller. BTW, XP Home CANNOT join a domain, period!

With 2000, run dcpromo to make a 2000 Server a domain controller. With 2003, that works, or you can use the server setup wizard.
