A user is not a computer. Delete the computer in AD. Make the computer a workgroup. Make the computer in AD. Then make member of domain. Be sure all ports needed are open and time is within 5 minutes of each other.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, are in my top 10

siddiqui, when you attempt to join the computer to the Domain, you'll need to authenticate with an Active Directory user that has privileges to add computers to the Domain. In AD, create an account for yourself and add that user to the Domain and/or Enterprise Administrators Group. Then, when athenticating to the Domain, use this format:

domainname\username

and the password for your user account. As long as the computers can ping each other, you should be able to add the client machine to the Domain.

Life's more painless for the brainless.
