Do i need a hub to share the net?

Hello
Do i need a hub to share the net between two computers. One is windows xp and one is windows 95. Can't i just do a peer to peer computer sort of thing. I can share files just not the net. Currently i am trying to share the net i i don't know what the dns server and all the other stuff codes is and windows xp doesn't set me one. Help!

Look into Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) You can also read about it in Windows Help.

Normally I'd recommend buying a hub (or switch or router); however, ICS is free and seems to fit your needs just fine.

I would never recommend ICS since it is software based and will slow down the host computer. ICS also causes a hassle as you need both computers to be turned on to use the net. I suggest investing in a router for about $100.
