Hello Do i need a hub to share the net between two computers. One is windows xp and one is windows 95. Can't i just do a peer to peer computer sort of thing. I can share files just not the net. Currently i am trying to share the net i i don't know what the dns server and all the other stuff codes is and windows xp doesn't set me one. Help!
Normally I'd recommend buying a hub (or switch or router); however, ICS is free and seems to fit your needs just fine.

I would never recommend ICS since it is software based and will slow down the host computer. ICS also causes a hassle as you need both computers to be turned on to use the net. I suggest investing in a router for about $100.
