do i need a converter for my wireless router

Specs: Macintosh , 2gb

I have moved from switzerland to USA my wireless router worked fine in switzerland with cable modem. in US it just shows power light no wlan light and i cant connect to the web interface. Do i need a converter to use with AC power adapter that came with the router?

If the router uses an external power supply, you should take this with and buy a new one for 110 Volts but with the same watts, because I guess, the power supply isn't switchable from 220 to 110 Volts.

If the switzerland wireless router is also a DSL gateway, it may not work with the DSL internet service provider in the USA. Better check first with whomever you plan to sign up for your internet access,

Thanks for the responses.
The compatibility with the RCN modem is not an issue yet because its not connected to the router, currently i cant even ping to the router even with a wired connection to my mac.
I will try the suggestion to change the adapter.
