I am setting up a home network with an evaluation copy of Windows 2000 Advanced Server. I can install the OS fine. However when I try and install DNS, I get a copy error saying can not find DNS.exe. I will also get this same error if I try to install Wins, except it will say WINS.exe. I have several of these evalution copy disks and on other computer they have worked just fine. I tried clearing the hardrive and using the HD manufacturing utility to do a full erase. Set all the sectors to zero.
I am thinking my problem is my computer since the software has worked on other systems. Could my BIOS need to be flashed? Is it an incombatiblity hardware issue? The software version is 5.0.2195 Build 2195. Would the lastest service pack help.
