Belkin Belkin wireless g router f5d7230-...
July 23, 2009 at 17:01:53
Specs: Windows Vista
I have been given a DNS from my internet service provider. I dont know whether to enter it locally in my network settings or go to the belkin site and change it there.

I can connect to the net at the moment but cannot access some gaming sites as Italian laws forbid it and my ISP is based in Italy, even though I am in Ireland where it is legal

I would suggest to add the DNS settings in your Belkin.
Put the IP address of your Belkin as DNS in your local settings, if IP configuration is set manually.
Otherwise, when getting IP address via DHCP (automatically) from your router, you should also get the correct DNS values automatically.

Please send a reply, if you solved the problem !!!

thanks for that, was concerned about other pc on the network being affected but as the dhcp assigns ip adresses automatically this should address this issue
