dns problem

hi all,
i'm using linksys boardband VPN router (MODEL BEFVP41) connect internet with DSL PPPOE. there is only 1 client computer in the lan.when i trying ping a domain name, i got a reply message "host not found".but i can ping that domain ip , when i open IE and type www.yahoo.com , i can't go that site but can go by type the ip of www.yahoo.com .even i have try put the dns setting in the client computer. i have config the router and client computer using dhcp.
In ipconfig , i see that ip of router is 192.168.1.1 and client is 192.168.1.100.defalut gateway is 192.168.1.1 ,dns server is 192.168.1.1.in the status of router , i can see the ip of dns.i know it may be dns problem .could anyone help me???

It is a DNS problem. For some reason it looks like your router isn't giving the DNS info to the client. I would statically assign IP info to the client and add your ISP's DNS addresses in there. That should fix the problem.

i found the problem!

problem not on the router, i had reinstall the TCP/IP protocol on the client computer,problem solved!
