I have network of 3 computers, one is sharing DSL connection. This morning I found that one of the client computers had its LAN connection down. All I had to do is go to the 'properties' of the connection click 'Enable' and restart. Now network works fine, but computer is not resolving DNS names. I still can ping everything on the internet including ISP DNS servers. What could be wrong?

P.S. Its still resolving 'localhost' to 127.0.0.1 and all local computer names.

On the 3 computers, get a command prompt and type ipconfig /all

Look towards the bottom and you will see entries for DNS servers e.g. 158.152.1.43

These must be valid internet DNS servers for the resolution to work.

If that looks okay try typing "nslookup" and see if the correct name server responds.
