Hi
I have been told that i can increase the range of my router D-Link DSL D604T to about about 500-1000 feet by settings within the router setup. I have found a range setting which is 1-25 but still does not increase the strength or range of the router signal. My current maximum range is about 100 feet. Anybody out there know of a way to increase the range further.
Cheers

DTIM doesn't have any effect on transmit distance.
DTIM interval (1-255)
Enter a value between 1 and 255 for the Delivery Traffic Indication Message (DTIM). A DTIM is a countdown informing clients of the next window for listening to broadcast and multicast messages. When the Access Point has buffered broadcast or multicast messages for associated clients, it sends the next DTIM with a DTIM Interval value. AP clients hear the beacons and awaken to receive the broadcast and multicast messages. The default value for DTIM interval is set to 2.There is a Antenna Signal strength setting with various values from 6% to full.

Thanks for the info, i suppose i will change the DTIM value back to 2. I cant understand why the router has such a limited range especially when there are not many obtructions like walls to pass through.
Anyway thanks again

have you tried upgrading the aerial? out of the box it's 2db - dlink do a 5db v cheap. I got a feeble connection (unusable 5%) only 2 rooms away (upstairs and through thick walls)
this went up to a useable 25% - after I put the 5db aerial at 45 degees!
