I have that firewall. Open up a web browser and access your router (defaults to http://192.168.0.1).

To disable the firewall,
Click on the advanced tab across the top, and then click on firewall tab along the side. In the firewall rules list, click on the white page icon that's on the line of the rule you want to modify. it'll copy the results to the boxes above. click on the disabled radio button, and then click apply.

Or just use DMZ (although I've heard DMZ doesn't work on the DI-614+...but i've never tried it personally). Click on Advanced tab if you haven't done so, and then click on DMZ on the left. Then put in the ip address assigned to your computer. DMZ should be your last option. (plus whatever computer's on DMZ will be the only one that can access the internet).

The best option would be to add rules that allow the transfer. You'll either want to do port redirection (virtual server), or open ports for the firewall. I can't help you there since I don't use AIM (I use trillian...which seems to work fine for me...although I don't do file transfers). You'll need to find out what ports AIM uses, or, decide which ports to open and then tell AIM to use those ports instead.
