Ok I was messing around with my router and I turned on jumpstart. Now I can't connect through it wired and wireless I don't know the password. I have tried to reset it to factory default but to no avail it still has jumpstart as the wireless connection. Any ideas on what I can do?
Ok new up-date. I finally got it reset and turned the jumpstart off. But now I can't connect to the internet through it. It will only give me local connection. I was getting a wireless signal named Default but it went away and the login to the control panel is blank so it should be factory specs. why can't I connect?
If you can not be sure the wirless connection is to your router, using wired connection to connect to your router and login to the router.go to "status" tab to check if you got a ip address from isp. if it didn't have, click DHCP renew.
two things i know it was my wireless signal, it said default and thats what it always is and i live in an area where the closest house is to far for me to get their signal if they even have one. and i tried to go wired just to connect but it gives me local connection only so i cant get in to renew it
ok i am able to get my wireless signal and i get connected (local only) and wired (local only as well) this first link what i see on both wired and wireless (no ip) http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/... and this second link is what i see on both when i click DHCP renew http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/... now with that any advice?
Try going to a command prompt (Go to Start - Run, type cmd in the Open window, then click OK). At the command prompt, type ipconfig /release, and then ipconfig /renew. See if that helps.
