ive got 3 computers: two desktops and a laptop. one desktop is connected to a d-link wireless router via a cable. the other two are using wireless adaptors. all the components i bought were d-link "air plus" and according to the box, it can reach speeds of 22 Mbps. however im only getting 5.5 Mbps (wireless). shouldnt i be at least 11Mbps? how can i speed it up?
note: only the two wireless computers are connected at 5.5Mbps. the computer connected via a cable is 100Mbps.

1) Your should be able to configure your router and wireless adapters for the speed you want. If the default "auto-detect" isn't working, maybe try manually setting a higher spped. I've also read that encryption (WEP) can slow wireless performance, but only slightly.
2) Many environmental factors such as thick walls, cordless phone and/or microwave oven interference, and so on can affect wireless performance.
