Has anyone succesfully connected to AOL Broadband Cable through a D-Link 614+ router and a Toshiba PCX2200 cable modem? I can't get there and AOL won't help since they don't sell, I mean support, D-Link eqpt. I can connect easily without using the router.

I believe that the only router that will work with AOL is the one supplied by AOL. Like everything else, AOL seem to do everything different than the rest of the world.

AOL don't necessarily supply the actual router but they recommend certain brands that you can purchase through AOL. However, you can purchase them independantly of AOL also. In general terms though, you're right which is why I'd like to trash can them. Unfortunately, I need parental controls that don't slow the pc to a crawl and AOL is the best I've seen so far.
