Sometimes when im trying to connect with my wireless router, I get disconnected like every 10 seconds...pretty much whenever I try to open up Firefox or IE and go to any webpage it disconnects. My router is a Dlink 614+a and the wireless connection is a DWL-120. I updated the firmware on the router a few months ago so the router would stop disconnecting when im on wireless with my laptop. Laptop works fine and doesn't disconnect with wireless, but the desktop does. My signal strength is always Excellent, and for the first few weeks I didn't have a problem with this, only recently did it start.

Start with any logs on router modem and xp.

Signal is not really a good yardstick of whether or not you can connect to your isp.

Use a wired solution if all else fails.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

I also live in an apartment..could it be interference from the apartment next door/down stairs?
