Specs: Windows XP home ps3, intel
how to disable certain ports - 25,53,25,138, & 445 - except internet to prevent hacking (can u explain in a way as a novice like me can understand pls)

Port 25 is not opened on your PC. It's running on the email server which allows you to send email.

Port 53 isn't opened on your PC either. That's used for domain resolution by your ISP so you can surf the net.

The other ports are used for sharing files & printers. The won't be seen from the outside if you have a router. If you still want to close them, uncheck file & printer sharing in the LAN properties.
