My two PC's are connected directly together by network cards and i cannot acces to any of them. I have the same message ...
"pc a" is not accessible. you might have no permission to use this network ressource. contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have permissions...
I see them in the workgroup computers, but I cannot access to any of them (but the one I'm on).
Pinging the ip of the other pc is working (0% packet lost)HUM

(tried 192.168.0.101 and 192.168.0.102)
no conflicts in the names of the computers
COMPUTER-1
COMPUTER-2
they are in the same workgroup (mshome)
I done the microsoft network wizard a hundred times...
I already tried to disable and enable NetBios
I already started "Computer Browswer" in the manager
I already done everything from Microsoft Knowledge Base Q318030 and Q304040
Simple File Sharing is Enabled
I have many folder and files shared on each comp. Please help me

Create a user account on each PC for the other one. Ex: On PC1, make an account for PC2 using the exact same username/password used to log onto PC2 at bootup. Do the reverse on PC2 (ie: make an account for PC1). Then try connecting to a share (or shares).

I have the exact same problem, except that I'm using a hub. I tried direct connect with a crossover too and that didn't work either.
Sometimes I can see the other computer in the workgroup but I get that error message. Other times I can't even see them. When it says that they are connected, I'm getting an extremely slow transfer rate.
I've tried EVERYTHING. Please help me!
