hi,

i would like to ask is it possible to connect 2 pc with different processor (amd and pentium) in a peer 2 peer network?

Yes, it is possible.
Dont worry about porcessors, but
your network interfaces on both PC
must be compatible.

Btw, when u say n/w interface, do u mean the nic, cables and stuff like that.

If you only want to network only two PC's?
All you need are two NIC's with RJ45 connections, they don't need to be the same,
but you may need specific drivers.
Connect the two NIC's together with a CAT5
crossover cable, you can buy them or if you
have the crimper, make your own.
Use only the orange and blue pairs
connect 1 to 3, 2 to 6, 3 to 1 and 6 to 2
1 and 2 are orange, 3 and 6 are blue
If you use PCI NIC's the PC should Plug and
Pray them, then it is just a matter of
enabling NETBUI, if it is anything other than W95. You should then be able to share
resources, Disks and printers that is!!
