HUB--Hub works on the Principle to do Brodcaste to all itsPC.When hub received any data packet to any Pc its brodcaste this packet to all port thus all pCs in its Network.This cause delay and collision between other packets of data send by one Pc to other.If a person is using HUb on its Pc and try to download and large file or dats form Net or other PC,then network become congested and cause slow speed.And maxximum speed in the HUb is 100Mbps
But Swith depends on the Unicaste.It sends the packets to the specific Pc,it learn which device or at which port,pc having this specific address is connected and sends direct to it which improve the speed. and controll network trafic.Max speed one can avail in Switch is 200Mbps.
