OS: xp sp 2
CPU/Ram: 1.5/480
Model/Manufacturer: dunno
Comment:
I often get busy tone when dialing and it will not redial until 60 sec timeout. Is is possible to detect it and immediately redial using a batch file or something... I found a related post (http://www.computing.net/programming/wwwboard/forum/14899.html)
Looks like a member has managed to detect it but he didn't post the solution. It is too old so it didn't let me to post there.
Please help

Go to Internet Options > Connections > Settings > Advanced and there is an option there to change the Timeout Period.

I would suggest you don't go below five seconds as you need to give the modem time to reset between tries.

This is assuming you are using Internet Explorer. Other browsers should have similar options.

There are setting you can set within the modem using AT commands but you will need the modem manual and a list of AT codes to do that. This is what thread you posted was trying to do. So unless you have some unusual application, directly setting the modem commands shouldn't be necessary. Your communication software, whatever that is, should do it.

Stuart
