Hi there,
I am using dialup to connect internet but the speed comes only 26kbps and some times it goes to maximum of 46kbps.
With this speed I cannot do any work in net. Even to browse google it take about five minute, so any one please help me to increase the speed of my internet so I can do some important windows update and antivirus update.

46 kbs is about the fastest you are going to get on dial-up. If the speed drops dramatically to 26 kbps then you need to speak to your telephone provider and ask them to check the line, could be a lose connection somewhere.

Of course the only real solution is to get a broadband connection.

26k is normal since most analog phone lines have been multiplexed and the provider only says they support voice and not data.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
