Hey I'm having alot of trouble. I finally got my XP desktop and Laptop networked and sharing a internet connection over a home network where all networking options are working fine. with desktop being the "controling" computer. and the laptop using its connection. but i have noticed that when the network is enabled the internet connection gets more page not able to be displayed errors. When the network is not enabled the internet connection works perfectly. the Connection always connects at around 53.2. Also when the network is enabled programs such as outlook express and aol via tcp/ip will not connect. they time out.
can anyone help. ifyou need more details about system I can provide what you need i was just not sure what i should say on here.

lol PLEAAAASEEEEE help. this is making me feel so stupid.

sounds like your ip is set to automatic for both. you need to manually set the one for the two shared computers to anything other than 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.9
