Diagnose Connection Problems

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, 2.667 GHz / 3069 MB

Hi.
I am getting an intermittent message when i attempt to connect to certain websites of:
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems"

but only on certain websites, and intermittently at that. The problem is getting gradually worse, so it is happening more frequently. I have run a virus scan and I am told there are no problems, so it cannot be that. Please help!

Can you ping your listed dns server? You can get this info from a ipconfig /all

Have you scanned for spyware/malware?

When you can't get to a web site try pinging it to see if you get a response.
