Hey chaps,
Im currently on my Mums PC and thus far this page has loaded up fine. How ever, when my mum tries accessing her online bank the net seems to pretty much grind to a hault. Ive also tried downloading firefox but alas downloads run at somehting like 1.5kbps which for broadband is overwhelmingly poor. As far as i know only the windows firewall is running in the background. SHould there be a reason why 'secure' sites load so very slow and average, google type sites seem to run at broadband speeds? Any thoughts are most welcome,

goto www.dslreports.com and do a speed test (under tools) and a line packet loss test. see how that turns out. another thing is contact the broadband's tech support...they should be able to help point you in the right direction.
