Comment:

I updated the firmware on my DI-704P Revision C to the latest 3.14, and now I can't log in. I tried resetting it about forty times now, in every way possible. Hold the reset button while on for ten seconds, twenty seconds, thirty seconds, hard reset until lights flash slowly, hard reset until they flash quickly. Everything I could think of. Could they of changed the password in this firmware to something not the default blank? I'm pulling my hair out over here! Any help is mundo appreciated.

can't see why they would change default login for different flash version.

username: admin
password is blank (nothing)

Tried that already. Asks again. I've tried admin/admin, admin/(blank), (blank)/admin, user/(blank), user/user, (blank)/user. No results. And I can't reflash it unless I know the password. :/

Instead of trying "everyting you can think of", just follow the manual.

1. Power off the device
2. Press the reset button and hold
3. Power on the device
4. Keep the button pressed about 5 seconds
5. Release the button
6. Watch the M1 and M2 LEDs, they M1 will flash once per second

Tried it already. I tried it the way every piece of literature I could find on the device recommended. That's the method for the hard reset, you wait until the lights blink slowly. Another hard reset method is to wait for the lights to blink quickly, and then power off the router. Then there's the soft reset methods which are also recommended that are to hold the reset switch for varying lengths without powering off the unit first.

Hi,

I tried it also. I lost the password, and I have the same problem with 704P rev B : the reset is impossible.

I would be interested if you find a solution.
