Hello,
My computer ran fine until yesterday.
Yesterday I ran my weekly checks of Adaware SE Personal, PC Error Eliminator and 1 Click Maintenance (TuneUp Utilities 2006 feature).
Anyway, after all three, I rebooted by computer. At the starting of Windows, it took my PC about 5 min to load the desktop and such (It loaded then instead of putting everything it putted only my desktop wallpaper and after 5 min it putted the start bar and the desktop icons).
Anyway, I disabled all kind of useless crap from msconfig Startup tab and all services which does not belong to microsoft. And it still did it the next reset. So I started disabling sort of "one after another" and I found out that the problem was the DHCP client service. If I disabled it, it ran just fine. So i restored all the non-microsoft services and those things I disabled at startup, and rebooted and it still went all fine (with DHCP disabled). Now when I look at the msconfig services thing, I see some running some stopped (As it should be, I compared with another computer and it shows all about the same), but I have DHCP disabled and Webclient and System event notification on "Start Pending". when I enabled DHCP service and rebooted it took it like 5 min to get to the desktop icon & start bar (like before), and then when I looked at services all was the same, Webclient & System Event Notification were on start pending, but also DHCP client was start pending...
Anyway, with DHCP disabled or Start Pending, I cannot connect to the internet. Even with my IPs and DNS and Getaway and such, all manual.
Can someone plz help me how to fix DHCP?Thank you very much,
Oz.

Back up a second.
Is this computer directly connected to the internet, or do you have a router in front? Are you using another machine with Internet Connection Sharing?
If directly connected to the internet, is your ISP using dynamic or static ip?
"Milk was a bad choice!"

My computer is connected to a switch, so as my brother computer and my wife's laptop, and they work just fine, but mine does'nt work.
The switch is connected to the router.
The computer is not newly installed or something, I had internet in it for a long time, and those weekly checks, it wasen't the first time I did them.
I don't know if my ISP is using dynamic or static IP, but I know that my IP stays the same all the time unless I shut down the modem for about 5 minutes or use "flush" command on the router. Please help me,
It seems like I have no choise other than re-installing Windows which is quite out of the question.

I forgot to mention in my reply,
All IPs, DNSs and Getaways are all manual for all computers.
I realize that DHCP shouldn't disturb my internet since I put it manually but still, it does...
Can anyone help me with this awfully complicated problem?

Ok. Couple of things to try:
#1. Try using system restore to go back to a point in time it worked.
#2. Reset TCP/IP using the following command at a command prompt:
netsh int ip reset tcpipreset.log

Kind heropsycho2177, thank you for your time.
Unfortunatly, I have System Restore disabled, and the command you told me fails to work (I mean, it works, just not solving my problem).Any other things I can do in order to take care of this awful problem?
I've tried disconnecting the PC cable from the switch and disabling the "Local Area Connection" in the Connect To, restarting but yet it still boots really slow.
Perhaps the problem is in Windows?
If so, I have my CD of Windows XP Pro (Not SP2, though. I upgraded via the internet) right here with me now. Anything I can do in order to fix the problem?Again, thank you kindly.
Oz.

Short of reloading your OS, I can't think of anything.
Why did you have system restore disabled?
