DFS Permissions

Specs: Windows XP\ 2003 server
So im just getting my testing going in AD and just got my DFS root setup...
i setup a shared folder on my 2k3 server called share under permissions by default everyone is listed with RO...i change to FC and even added domain users, authenicated users and domain computers all with FC. under security i set up the same groups and all with FC. In DFS manager i create a new link called share and browsed too \\servername\share. when i check status everything checks out. so i go over to my test vista and test xp boxes (both on the domain) log in as a test user and \\domain\dfs root name\ it shows me the link i created called share but i cannout open...share is not accessible (on both xp and vista). if i log in with admin everything is golden...so im guessing im screwing up permissions somewhere. i also tried adding the group my test user is in and the user itself with FC rights and still nothing. ohh and also i am not able to unc path either...take dfs out of the picture i cant just \\servername\sharename any ideas?

Remember Denies will superceed any other permissions, so I would double check that there are no Denies. Also, do not forget to check your share permissions. By default it should have an EVERYONE in it and most good administrators know to remove that but sometimes forget to add a domain users to the share permissions under the "Share" tab; in addition to the AD permissions under the "Permissions" tab.

Thanks for the reply...

i do not have any deny perms. all "Full Control" just so i can get it to work...then ill go back and secure it more with rights. i just dont know why it will not show up for a user (access denied) when that user even has FC. any other ideas?
