Does anyone know off-hand of any websites that provide tutorials, FAQ's, or forums that pertain specifically to common desktop support issues that are typically experienced in the workplace. I.e. involving 98, NT or 2000, and OFfice.

I can't think of any specific site, but try using a search engine using several different key words. I'm sure you can pick up some FAQ's for Win98, NT, 2000 and Office on Microsoft's website, but I would bet there are many other places that offer some FAQ's as well.

Try google as the search engine...if you are looking for something from Microsoft knowledgebase for example, google will find it better than the Microsoft search engine...
I would buy a copy of Norton Systemworks 2001 or 2002...or Ontrack equivilent, I forget the name off hand...
We support about 1500 machines on campus and we use the Norton a lot...it will fix many of the issues that crop up from time to time...It is NOT a solver for all problems by any means, but it gets you started... Steve
