I have Netgear Wireless router. Laptop connects wirelessly and also via ethernet cable. PC was working OK and suddenly stopped. Via Ethernet. Can't ping 192.168.0.1 from Desktop PC. Have run TCPXPFix, used spybot scan. No change. How can I diagnose what is stopping the connection? PS I was having probs with XP SP3 and so reverted to SP2. This worked for a while then just stopped. Please help, I am at my wits end.

If you have configured all network settings correctly on that PC, then try to use this Winsockfix to fix the problem.

Thank you. I tried this but it didn't make any difference. I feel it should be something simple. There should be something I can look at that says ......... Obvious.
