Ok afta gettin my wirelss router to work and the wirless adapter to also work i thought let me try and make like a little small office home office thing... so i clicked on that wizard on the computer with the wireless adapter and created one but i couldnt find it and so i went dowstairs and did it on that pc and messing around with it for a little while i realised when i went to "my network places" and thereafter going to "view all workgroups" that i had created quite a few workgroups or networks or whateva else they are called... now all i wanted to do was to create a small network between my 2 pc's one that is downstairs and upstairs, and share files between them... but i got confused and messed things up!

Now can someone tell me how i can get rid of all these networks i'v created and start all over again?

emsee,

Try posting *information about your PCs, the Makes and Models of Wireless Router and the Wireless Adapters and whether you have, in addition, Wired Adapters (NICs) in those PCs,and what type of Modem you have to reach the Internet Service Provider: then you will see many takers for your question, coming up with helpful suggestions.:-)
* If brand Name PCS, their EXACT Names as displayed on their cases; if Custom Built PCs then Exact Make and Models of Motherboards . This is to find the hardware SPECS. The Operating System Names and SPs in each of the networked PCs[ Example: WinXP HOME SP2 or WinXP Pro SP1 or Win98SE.]
Good luck:-)

Hi,

Workgroups are only created when computers join them.

So, to "delete" them, you will need to go on each computer, and change their current workgroup.

To do this, right-click on "My Computer", then Properties. Click on the "Computer Name" tab, then click on "Change".

Afterwards, find yourself a common workgroup name and write it down.
