ok so my msn tells me that my default gateway is offline and its not only causing problems for logging into msn but i think its also causing problems for browsing on the internet. heres my ipconfig logs any suggestions?

Not having a gateway address will most definately prevent you from accessing the internet. I supsect you're going to need to contact your provider about this issue as it appears to be happening on your broadband (external) connection.

It appears to me that your PPP is statically entered since dhcp is set to NO.You didn't put in the gateway entry. Call your isp and get the gateway address and enter it correctly.

I missed that....musta breezed through all the posted info too quickly (again). Good catch wanderer!

Go to the site www.whatismyip.com and the ip address that u do get, type that into the default gateway if that fails to work write the IP of the computer that u are connecting to the internet from....
