Hello members
I have a setup with MBP and Windows computers networked and a WHS(windows home server) as a backup and media share device. My router/modem is a Speetouch ST585v6. The Airport Extreme Base station with the WHS machine are in another room and I want that to be connected to the default gateway through WDS. The connection between the default gateway is working as long as I have the cable(Ethernet) connected between the default gateway and the AE.
Would someone be able to pinpoint where I have to add details so the AE and the default gateway can be connected wireless?
Main network and WDS are on different channel.
WDS on AE is set as WDS remote
Can the IP address of the AE be in the same range as the network?
Network name on AE is different as the main network name; does that affect the functionality?
Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks

Wanderer
can you see how desperate I am to get this solved!
A suggestion would be good, not a link to an unsolved tread!
Thanks
P.S. I also hope for Obama, though I live on the other side of the globe

from what I can tell your equipment isn't compatable to do all WDS. Might want to consider replacing the Speetouch with something that is compatable or just live with haing the Airport wired to the Speetouch. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Wanderer, thanks!
So I can also sell the AE and get something compatible to the SPT585.
Regards and best luck for the elections!
