i am a network novice.
I have cable modem to a Netgear Mimo wireless router. connected to the router
are 3 desktop PC's a wireless printer and a wireless laptop all working fine.
however, i have bad signal strength on the laptop when downstairs. I have a spare
netgear wpn824 router and spare linksys hub. I would like to add another desktop
and extend the wireless range possibly by daisy-chaining the spare router.
can this be done or what is the best recommendation to permit me to use the wireless laptop at a wider range.

Ideally you need a WiFi range extender.

I would get a second access point...if you dasiy chaint he routers you end up with only 10 mps insted of 100 for some odd reason.

That's only if you don't daisy-chain correctly. Here's a picture. You turn your wireless router into an access point.
