Is there a way to get two computers connected by using a modeum with different telephone line in each of them, and can i transfer files....(is Hyper Terminal enough to do so ) and how?...........pls

Not through Hyper Terminal you can, you would need to setup on one computer a dial-up server and the computer would need to connect to it using dial-up networking. I would just use PcAnyWhere to do the job.

If you can try and find a network router that supports dialup.. that way its easy.. all you have to do is plug the phonline into the router then the two computers into the router...

At one time there were used for BBS awhile ago and they are use for other things as well.

I used to run a BBS...most people used Terminal Emulation programs to connect but a few did use hyperterminal. I thought you could transfer files via hyperterminal....but then I used a term program not hyperterminal when connecting to other BBS and of course I didn't need to bother to connect to my own *grin*

If I remember correctly, and it's been well over 5 years since I've done a dialup connection like this, you can connect directly using dialup networking and access the remote computer using your windows exploer to transfer files. You probably have to create a user account on the target PC for the remote user and add that user to the shares you wish them to access first.
