Hi, i got 2 home pcs and im trying to get them to share the internet, i can do the network, well file sharing and printer and things, but i just get the second machine to connect to the net.

I managed to do it before, it was an accident, well i tried for ages and got lucky i guess, but then i downloaded a speed booster (idiot lol) and it changed my settings and now i cant get it to work again.

Can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to do it, it dont matter what OS i use, I can formtat them both and put the easiest ones on to do it with, well except for XP. Im not sure if that matters or not..

thanks

If both your computers are running Windows98 then go to Control Panel/Add programs /Windows Setup, scroll down to Internet Tools, click on Details and check the box for Internet Connection Sharing. This will then give you an option under Start/Programs/Accessories/InternetTools to run the Internet Connection Wizard. Do this on the machine that connects to the Internet and it will offer you the chance to create a floppy disk to run on the other machine to set that up.
