do i have to create a new connection with my pc in order to "go through" a router? trying to create a wifi signal for my wife's i phone and laptop, but i want my pc to stay as fast as it is.

If you have a router, you can connect multiple devices to it simultaiously without speed impact. If you don't have a router (the Internet connection goes straight into your PC), you can connect a wireless adapter to your PC and use Internet Connection Sharing to turn your desktop into a router.
