Hi there, today i bought an HP Compaq laptop and a wireless D Link kit. A PCMCIA Card and A PCI Card. After a day's work i finally got a connection between the two. I set up TCP/IP Settings to have a static IP BUT THEY AREN'T COMUNICATING!! The Led's are blinking as shood and the signal is excelent but...no comunication. CAN SOME ONE HELP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

OR you could just set the &%$! wireless AP router to "DHCP server", and set your wireless PCMCIA and PCI card to "obtain IP adress automatically" and skip the whole static IP thing all together.
Not trying to be insensative but if it took you a day to get a wireless connection, I can imagine how long it would take to get static IP network addressing with subneting and default gateways.
