Copying files over the network

When attempt to copy a entire folder (LARGE) over my network the system Im copying to freezes and I get a cant write to disk error. The system is running WinME and the system Im copying from is running Win98. What could be causing my failure ...It only occurs whenIm copying folders containing alot of files ...HELP PLEASE

What protocols are you using? Are the NIC drivers latest & as per the O/S?

I am having the same exact problem,except that I do not get an error message before my receiving machine locks up. Have you solved it yet?
