Problem: Users are unable to connect to a shared application on the windows 2000 server. (usually time out error message but seen other errors as well)

Work around: We have to manually restart the 2000 server every morning so the user can connect.

Network: Workgroup and users are connecting through map drives.

Software on system: Besides the application we are having problems with there are symatec corp and open office.

What we did already: Disconnect network cable, power up/down the switch, removed any temps and logs off the server, made sure the application are shared.

Questions: Any ideas what the problem may be?
