hello can anybody explain me that when i connect my 56k modem at 45kbps or above it gives me very slow speed and when i connect at 26400 kbps it gives me speed of an isdn connection . why?

no matter what speed you connect at using a 56K, you are not connected at ISDN Speed...

Forgot what the reported speed says, go to www.dslreports.com and you can have your connection speed, including dialup, tested with a small file (up and down) and the results are immediately shown to you.
