I'm using windows ME. When I connect my adsl modem (built in ethernet card) via usb port to surf the net, the connection status icon won't show up on the system tray. But I can surf the net, anyone here know how to make the connection status icon show up on the system tray? Thanks!

Right click My Network Places, select Properties, right click the card you want to see the status of, select Properties, select "Show icon in notification..."

I think that is what you're looking for.
