Heya
I have been happily using ICS (internet connection sharing) for the last 8 months without any problems. I have recently started using msn messenger to chat (actually talk) with other people and have noticed that I can't chat while ICS is switched (and yes, I know why!). So bearing this mind I have started looking for another program like ICS but far more configurable.
The ones that I have found so far are:
winproxy 4.2a (damn crack didnt work )
wingate 4.3 (has issues with Realtek network cards )Can any of you networking people recommend any other programs? I would ideally like something which can support:
SOCKS (4 & 5)
H232
NAT
DHCP
DNS, etc.TIA,
akshay

This is not what you asked for, but may i suggest a router? it will do all that you desire and more.
:)

I am using the following config:
Cable modem to a 10t/hub12 I got from a friend. Running to 2 pc's. Both running win98, and I am REALLY trying to either find an OLDER, CRACKABLE version of Winproxy, or the crack for the 4.0 version.
Using LinkSys network cards, and if I can find the winproxy crack. I'll be in heaven. I used it till it ran out, then hadda go into the registry to remove ALL traces of it, and re-install it. Kind of a pain, but till I find a crack, that's the BEST prog I have found. I can actually voice chat on BOTH pc's at once.Hope this helps a little.
Oh, one pc is a PII 400, 256mb ram, the other is a p-166 48mb ram. Like I said, I can chat on BOTH at once, as LONG AS I RUN WINPROXY with the hub. Works REAL well, that hub does.... 124.00 retail. Actual price? Got a friend high, lol. He gave it to me, TOO sweet! (Some people will do ANYTHING for a joint when the town is dry, and I take FOREVER to smoke, LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!)
Look, if I'm rambling a little? I just woke up. still getting the coffee via iv drip, so to speak. (C'MON Coffee pot, BREW!)

sir,
i have winproxy version 4.0 and i want a crack for it.
where i get the crack for that/
tell me.
thanks
sachin
