Solved Connection keeps dropping on Win 8.1

Specs: Windows 8.1 x64, i7-3740QM @ 2.7GHz / 16 GB
Forgive me for asking an undoubtedly common question, but I believe my specific configuration could change everything. Note that I live in an apartment where there are no doubt plenty of networked/radio devices.

I have an interference problem with my wireless Win 8.1 setup forcing me to constantly (a) reset my network adapter or (b) switch networks. Basically the connection just drops, I get the yellow caution triangle over the network icon in the sys tray, everything times out, and I have to reset or switch. It happens 5+ times per hour and I just can't ignore it anymore.

I'm using my Charter-issued modem and an Apple Airport Base Station on my Sager Win8 setup. I also have a Synology NAS, and two Apple Airport Extremes on the network. All hardware, software and firmware on these peripherals is up to date. However, note that the problem seems to persist in the absence of all these things.

I downloaded Xirrus WiFi Inspector and indeed, there are many nets in the area. I used Airport Base Station to set up a 5GHz connection, but switching to that only buys me a matter of 10-20 minutes before the next dropped connection.

Any ideas? I'm plum out.

See if wireless zero helps. I never tried it with win 8.

Ensure you are not using the same channel as the most powerful signal (usually from your nearest neighbour). You can set the router to a specific channel rather than Auto and usually 1, 6 and 11 are chosen to avoid overlaps - see here:
