Connecting Two Networks

My question is what are the equipments needed to connect two different networks together so that the users on the two different network users can share all the available resources. i mean how the two networks can be interfaced with each other for complete sharing.

A router connects two different networks and the NAT on the router does the address translation.

If you do not want to use a router then put in a second NIC which is setup with the subnet of your other network then use ROUTE ADD to add routing paths to your routing table to the private IP addresses in the other network. It can be a pain to maintaine these table and this is why people use routers.
