Specs: Windows Vista
running windows vista
need to connect to my wireless printer and the wireless internet at the same time. If I connect one, the other disconnects. Pardon the stupidity, but I can't figure it out.
no router involved in the printer connection

The wireless printer should connect to the wireless network (WLAN) you have created. The PC should then also connect to the same WLAN in your home and through that, be able to access the internet and the wireless printer.

Typically a WLAN like this would be configured on a wireless SOHO Router which I'm assuming you have.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

depending on wireless printer you connect to the printer via bluetooth and the internet via wireless.
