Is there any way I could connect to my home pc via the internet? I am using a router at home with only 1 IP address and 4 "local" IP addresses. Is there any other way other than using remote desktop? Please, need urgent help.

There's plenty of VPN software out there and your router may even support a VPN depending on what type it is and what it's capable of. There are also 3'd party app's like PCAnywhere.

Here's a free one called Tight VNC. You'll need to assign the computer that your going to connect to a static IP address, this is the only way to do it through a basic router. And before you need to access it, you have to start up the tight VNC server, then on the remote computer run the tight VNC viewer. You'll need to set up passwords for both but It's very simple to use. Enjoy! http://www.tightvnc.com/
